RASIL is an SME established in 2013 in the UAE. It has extensive experience in agriculture and natural resources monitoring and development of geospatial applications in the field of Food Security and Early Warning, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. RASIL overarching mission is to address the new challenges faced by agriculture, hence the need to sustainably  produce more food with less resources (Sustainable Intensification), while facing multiple pressures such as growing global population, climate change and disasters, degraded land and fragile ecosystems, social conflicts and migratory fluxes.

RASIL core team has implemented more than 50 projects globally to develop countries’ capacity in crop monitoring and food security in response to drought and other risk factors, using a combination of remote sensing, in situ data, agro-meteorology, and econometrics.  Example of these are the National crop monitoring systems for Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lesotho, the Food Security Information System in Sudan, the global land resource database GAEZ, allowing crop yield and crop yield gap forecasting fro over 230 crop species.
