Global Education Cluster Core Skills Training-Cyprus

RASIL continued to forge new strategic partnerships. In doing so, RASIL lead consultant participated as a facilitator in the “Education Cluster Coordination Core Skills” training organized by the Global Education Cluster, between 19-24 June 2017 in Cyprus. The course consists of 4 online modules and culminates in a 5.5 day face-to-face training

The Course seeks to provide training in both the skills sets of the traditional “coordinator” and “information manager” roles and responsibilities. It aims to equip all coordination staff with the required skills and knowledge to establish and effectively run an Education Cluster (or Education in Emergencies Working Group).

Following this training, RASIL entered into a partnership with the Global Education cluster co-leads [Save the Children and UNCIEF] to organize similar training in Dubai. Based on this partnership agreement,  a successful round was organized in September 2017.

The Education Cluster is an open formal forum for coordination and collaboration on education in emergencies. The Education Cluster brings together NGOs, UN agencies, academics, and other partners under the shared goal of ensuring predictable, well-coordinated and equitable provision of education for populations affected by humanitarian crises.
